Taken from our service this morning at Saugatuck Congregational Church:

Alison:       People of God:  The tent is up, the table is set, and the invitations have all gone out.  So now, let me ask: Who is here?

All:             WE are here!

Alison:       Children with backpacks, wherever you are, shout out:  “We are here!”

Children:   We are here!

Alex:          Women of all ages: if you’re in the tent (or on the lawn), raise your voices!

Women:    We are here!

Alex:          And men, how about you?  Give a holler!

Men:          We are here!

Alison:       From lifelong members to very-first timers: where are you?

All:             We are here!

Alison:       You might be giddy with joy, distracted or weary, but still:

All:             We are here!

Alex:          To give thanks and sing and pray God’s blessing:

All:             We are here!

Alex:          Whoever you are, and wherever you are on life’s journey,

Alison:       People of God, know this:  We are so glad you are here!
