Friday Focus: Jon Stewart on America’s Pathological Inability to Deal With Gun Violence

I try to read as much news as I can, but honestly I find that frequently the best analysis comes from the comedians.

So here is Jon Stewart talking about gun control in the wake of the Navy Yard Shooting this week:

Clip 2:  Depressingly Familiar Post-Tragedy Analysis:  A Homicide Pact

And in light of yet another tragic shooting in Chicago, a prayer for peace:

Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or
weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who
sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless
the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the
joyous; and all for your love’s sake. Amen.

  1. On some thing Stewart is right on, and on others he doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground – all prejudice.
