Saturday Morning Brunch (2-23-12)

Some things that have caught my eye around the web this week.  Enjoy!

A book by David Fitch and Geoff Holsclaw about a new kind of not-neo-reformed evangelicalism that also isn’t quite emergent.  Very interested to read this!

I frequently say that “time is a construct.”  Usually when I’m late for something.  But then I read this very interesting reflection on how the western construction of time can subtly influence our reading of scripture.

On a similar note, here is a very interesting post on the existential angst that lies beneath American culture’s need to always be improving, growing, and out-competing everyone else.

And finally, another appearance by David Fitch, a helpful piece on the danger of turning people into projects when we attempt to “do” things to help them instead of walking “with” them.

What caught your attention this week? What has stood out to you? What has inspired you? What made you think?
