Saturday Morning Brunch

A couple of articles that sound like science fiction particularly caught my eye this week.  Enjoy!

  1. The Apophis asteroid is currently having a close encounter with the Earth.  Apparently there is a slight possibility of it colliding with the Earth in 2036, and if this happens it would have the power of 100 nuclear explosions.  Something to think about.
  2. Recent work being done on laser weapons.  No, the author is not George Lucas.
