For the second year in a row, a hurricane is bearing down on the Northeast… Sandy is supposed to do significant damage and probably knock out power and internet for most of us up here for the next several days. While I am safely relocated to Pittsfield, MA, we are taking a break on the blog to monitor Hurricane Sandy’s impact on the Northeast.
All of the posts for the Evangelicals and Feminism series have been pre-scheduled and should appear automatically. Once we are back up and running I will give an update on the hurricane, put up the last installment of our “If the Election Were Held Today” series, and post a few other things I have been working on.
In the meantime, a prayer for safety from The Book of Common Prayer offered for all those in path of the storm:
O merciful Father, who has taught us in your holy word that you do not willingly afflict or grieve your children: Look with pity upon your servants who are affected by this storm. Remember them, O God, in mercy, nourish their souls with patience, comfort them with a sense of your goodness, lift up your countenance toward them, and give them peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
