Sunday Reflection: Lenten Confession (2)

From our service this morning at Saugatuck Congregational Church:

Lord this morning we claim your promise of new life, a fresh start. Our faith sometimes seems like an obligation – work for a pay check. Forgive us Lord. In a spring cleaning, blow away the cobwebs of duty and obligation. With each new bud, each bulb sprouting through the snow, each cry of a new born baby, may we be born afresh. Renew us, surprise us, challenge us, but above all, Lord, stay close as we grow up with you. Amen.
